Harvest Carnival...Halloween 2007

Harvest Carnival was a blast here in Oki. It was a lot of hard work, seeing it was Foster's first time to host one, but it worked together GREAT. People had a blast and were filled with goooooood chili dogs:) and yuuuummmmy candy...it was a time with great booths and sweet music...overall you could see it in everyones faces that it was just a total blessing to have a free carnival with so much to offer, and such good food too=] FYI: the big buff guy in the pik is.....Big Nate he rocked Pauls prison and arrested people left and right, he was rocking the verses and was a great help.

Foster Chapel Kids

For the past month we've been able to help out at the foster base chapel in their kids ministry. It was to just have a chance to hang out and share with these kids the word of God. As you can see in the pictures we had a lot of fun posing in our glasses we made for craft. Next We'll be at Futenma base helping them out with their nursery. The fun continues=]

Horn to Horn Combat

Whaoooooo, this was sweet to see another Okinawan Kustom. We got to go to a bull fight, it's just like sumo fighting but with bullz...it was pretty sweet there was Eisa dancers and really buff guys posing next to the somewhat buffer bulls. It was a blast, and really fun to watch.

Study hard...Relax easy=]

Man it was good to get a vacation, see how mid-terms were on the way it was great to just relax and get back in focus. What even almost as great was finally being able to buy a drink and get a refill! Even on Hot Chocalate!!!!mmmmmmm...we ended up going up to Okuma and just had a sweet time, its a resort reserved only for military, and since we got hook up we were able to spend 4 days 3 nights there and waaaahhhhhhhhoooo it was great we had the chance to just relax...explore...catch up on work...BANNA BOAT...and watch a the sports on a big screen tv with endless whip cream on top hot chocalets=]]]]. It was a great time and God spoke to us a lot especially those time just reading His word surrounded by gorgeous beaches in the day and numerous stars at night:).

Night at Mihama

Fun night, after the scavenger hunt we went down to Nihama and one of our bands Haku Gaijin was invited to play at a concert thing there. So they played and they did great afterwards we did some street witnessing and were able to pass out full books to the people and share with them about Christ...It was a fun night and a blessing overall, I got to see people who I havent been able to see in two years since my last visit here=].

1 KrazY nighT

Man this is deffinitely a night I think i'll probably talk about years from now. Man it started off as a normal day we actually just planned the night before to go to a big pentecostal outreach here on island. Most of us have never really been to a pentecostal service but we just nwanted to go check it out. So on our way we did what every chubs missionaries do and stopped to get something to eat. We decided to stop by the local hotspar(like a 7/11 or AMPM) while unbeknownst to us there was a thrashing upstairs with a military man in a smoke shop. The man then came down stole from the hot spar harassed a couple people and then left. The Japanese really didnt know what to do when a couple of us decided to try and talk to this guy because in fact some of the guys with us new him. Next thing we know the police are showing trying to apprehend this, under drug infuence, man. Seeing he was in the military it took 3...4 of the officers to retain him, after about 10 minutes the guys ends up on the floor handcuffed and screaming. While the police tried to figure out the whole story with the rest of the crowd I went to the guy and tried talking to him and just trying to point him to Christ. Hopefully he remembered what I said when he woke up the next day in Japanese jail. While that was happening the other guys were speaking with his friend and through all the circumstances his friend rededicated his life to the Lord. After all this we still ended up going to the outreach, as late as we were, we ended going. That was just a different exerience in itself, only good thing I can say is I really liked th glowsticks:), and through out all of the night and it's experiences God just really showed us how much this island and country needs God and how much they hunger for HIs word and just need to know who He is. Keep this island in prayer and us as theres always things happen to stop us from doing God's work here, pray for these people and their lack of knowledge of who God really is.
